(Indianapolis, IN) Sen. Delph announced today that he will travel to the Iowa Caucuses and speak in support of former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum at a targeted site in Des Moines, IA caucus night, January 3rd. Last week Delph announced his support of Rick Santorum calling him the best and most complete GOP candidate able to win a general election. Delph stated, "Senator Santorum has the momentum of conservatives and is in a great position to do very well on January 3rd." CNN released a poll on December 28th showing Santorum's movement into the top three and within 10 pts of the poll leader, former MA Governor Mitt Romney.
Delph said that fellow Hoosier and Santorum National Grassroots Coordinator, Shelley Ahlersmeyer, is helping to lead the charge in Indiana to get Rick Santorum on the Indiana ballot. Delph plans to leave Indiana on January 2nd returning to Indiana January 4th. He concluded, "I believe Rick Santorum can and will be an outstanding President. Rather than complain about the race and the state of national affairs, I have decided to follow the advice that I give my five daughters, and that is to get involved."
